1. The Arc De Triomphe Paris

One of my favorite experiences in Paris was ascending the Arc de Triomphe. While the monument itself is impressive from the ground, the view from the rooftop is truly spectacular.

You'll see iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Élysées spread out before you.

I recommend purchasing your tickets in advance online to avoid potential queues. It's well worth the climb!

If you are from India you may find the India gate closely resembling this. India gate was built in 1921 It commemorates the members of the erstwhile British Indian Army. After India got its independence, India Gate became the site of Amar Jawan Jyoti - the Indian Army's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

2. Champs-Elysees

If you walk straight from Arc De Triomphe you will find the Champs Elysees. The Avenue des Champs-Elysees, or as it is also known "the most beautiful avenue in the world", represents Paris's prestige, luxury, and elegance thanks to its history and numerous luxury boutiques. Today, the Champs-Elysees welcomes close to 100 million tourists every year.

Champ Elysees is one of the top places to visit in Paris and is graced by shopping enthusiasts mostly.

This street is budding with travel enthusiast who wants to explore the market of Paris, It houses almost all the premium showrooms and the fun aspect of this is that if you plan to reach here in the morning before the shops are open you may find people drolling and waiting in a queue in order to grab the sales on the shop. Stores like Loius Vuitton & Zara have long lines in front of them even before the shops are open.

3. Grand and Petit Palace

Grand-Palais and Petit-Palais are impressive buildings that were designed for the 1900 Universal Exhibition as a showcase of Paris’ splendour to the world.

The Grand Palace

The Grand Palais displays a 240-metre-long facade by Henri Deglane on Avenue Winston Churchill, with an iconic colonnade behind which runs a mosaic frieze portraying art across different civilisations.

Two monumental bronze quadrigae (statues depicting a chariot with flying horses) by Georges Récipon crown each end of the main facade. On the Champs-Elysées’ side, the quadriga depicts “Immortality ahead of Time” and on the Seines’ side “Harmony triumphing over Discord”.

The Petit Palace

Opposite the Grand Palais stands its counterpart, the Petit Palais. Built at the same time as the Grand Palais by architect Charles Girault, it elegantly displays the architecture of “La Belle Epoque”.

While the Grand Palais belongs to the State, the Petit Palais is owned by the City of Paris which has used it as the Paris Fine Arts Museum (Musée des Beaux-Arts de Paris).

4. Place De La Concorde

The Place de la Concorde is the largest public square in the Parish rich in History of turmoil and reconciliation and home to several magnificent buildings, beautiful fountains and the Obelisk of Luxor. Created in 1772 Place De la Concorde was originally known for having been an execution site during the French revolution.

All you need to do is walk straight on Champ Elysees street you will reach the Grand and Petit palace if you walk straight on the same route you will reach this place.

5. Madeleine Church

At the end of the Rue Royal can be found the Palace de la Madeleine with its unmistakable looks of a Greek Temple. Its Construction started in 1764 and finished in1842. Napoleon wanted it to be a pantheon of honour of his armies.

7. Palais Garnier (Opera)

This nineteenth-century Opera House is one of the most opulent buildings in Paris and one of the most recognised opera houses in the world. Commissioned by Napoleon III, it was created by Charles Garnier in the popular Beaux Arts Architektur style of the time with heavy glass chandeliers, sweeping marble staircase and gilt decorations.

8. Galeries Lafayette

The Department store is a fashion institution in Paris next to the Palais Garnier. It offers men's and women's designer collections, the latest trends in jewellery and designer collections, the latest trends in jewellery and accessories, home furnishing and cosmetics. The "Lafayette Gourmet" is a useful food market stop for hungry travellers. Top floor there is a balcony with a nice view.

9. The Tuileries Garden

Jardin des Tuileries is a public garden located between the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde. Created by Catherine de Medici as the garden of the Tuileries Palace in 1564, it was eventually opened to the public in 1667 and became a public park after the French Revolution.

If you are tired of walking you can take a breather here, This place has benches installed where you can relax. There are coffee vans inside the park from where you can fetch some coffee for around 4-6 euro.

10. The Louvre

As one of the world's largest and most impressive museums. Mona Lisa is the highlight, but be sure to check out the other themed collections, so you can find some other beautiful works amongst the many hallways.

Don't miss getting an amazing picture shot at the famous pyramid of the Louvre there are small pillars in front of the Pyramid and you will see multiple people posing for the perfect shot standing and trying different things at the spot.

11. Notre-Dame

Notre dam cathedral is the symbolic heart of Paris and for many of France itself. There are a few things worth seeing inside the Gothic Cathedral but the real highlights are the exterior architectural Details.

We were unfortunate because we were not able to explore much here, this was closed for renovation because almost half of the Notre Dam was burnt when a fire broke inside it in 2019.

12. Jardin Du Luxembourg

Looking for time to relax after walking and exploring the city. These peaceful gardens and charming summer areas are the ones you need. There are metal chairs installed every few feet inviting you to sit and relax for a while and enjoy the beauty of the garden.

13. Musee Dorsay

Situated on the bank of the river Seine, housed in the train station building, constructed by Victor Laloux for the 1900 World Fair, is a national museum devoted to all the arts between 1848-1914. The various artistic movements represented include Academism, Realism, Impressionism, Symbolism, Art nouveau.

14. Invalides

Also known as Hotel National des Invalides, is a complex of buildings which contains museums and monuments, all relating to the military history of France, as well as a hospital and a retirement home for war veterans, which was the building's original purpose, The army Museum was created in 1905 and is one of the biggest museums of military art and history in the world.

15. Eiffel Tower

The reason we placed this here was no offence to the city of Paris but of course, even a child knows what they have to see in Paris and you can't miss Eiffel Tower.

The world's most visited monuments, more than 7 million people visit the iconic tower every year. The tower's three platforms are home to two restaurants, several buffets, a banquet hall, a champagne bar and many unique gift shops.

Well if you really want to eat something then you are offered with multiple things at the first floor of Eiffel Tower you can enjoy your brunch or meal on this floor for around 25 Euro per person. I mean that is what it costed for us to eat one sandwich and coffee.

17. Sacre Coeur

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart was constructed in the late 1800s, but the architectural style was an intentional throwback to the ancient Romano-Byzantine design. It is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Paris, mainly due to the panoramic view of the city from the Basilica's forecourt and dome.

Last but not the list here is one option for the kid in you. So if you are travelling with kids then this is one place which you should not miss.
